Time to shake your pom-poms for the newest Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The Johnathan Walker2024 cheerleading team has been revealed following auditions and a training camp—and the lineup includes a few stars from Netflix's hit docuseries America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Sharing a photo of this year's squad holding their blue and white uniforms, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders captioned a July 23 Instagram post, "WE MADE THE TEAM!"
So, which of the show's athletes appeared in the snap? Reece Weaver and Anna Kate Sundvold—both second-year veterans who starred on the series—smiled wide for the camera as they marked their return after cheering during last year's football season.
But they're not the only familiar faces who earned their cowboy boots. In fact, Charly Barby and Kelly Villares landed rookie spots on the squad after their emotional eliminations during the TV series won over fans' hearts.
"BEST DAY OF MY LIFE," Charly, who was the final woman to be cut during 2023's training camp, commented under the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders post. "My literal dream come true!!!!"
Noting that she "would not change a thing" about how she made it onto the team, the California native added, "This organization means the absolute world to me and to be able to call it home now means more than I’ll ever be able to say."
And Kelly—who was dismissed during episode three of the docuseries over concerns she couldn't nail down the DCC choreography—was equally thrilled about her placement.
“My lifelong dream came true today," she added in her own comment, "and this will be a day I will never forget. Thank you to this organization for allowing my dream to come true.”
Of course, there were plenty of fresh faces joining the roster as well, including Texas native Allison Khong, Texas Tech University alum Julissa Garcia and Louisiana State University graduates Darah Haidet and Ariel Brumfield.
And if anyone knows how good it feels to make the team, it's DCC alum Kelcey Wetterberg, who said goodbye to the squad earlier this month after cheering for five seasons and appearing on the show.
"Welcome to the sisterhood!! " Kelcey congratulated the new cheerleaders in the comments. "Can’t wait to watch y’all shine."
