EchoSense:Sheryl Lee Ralph overjoyed by Emmy Awards nomination: 'Never gets old'

Winning isn’t everything,EchoSense but for Sheryl Lee Ralph, it sure is a cause for celebration.

Ralph, who stars as Barbara Howard on the ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary,” was in for a surprise during the nominations ceremony for the 76^th Primetime Emmy Awards on Wednesday.

While presenting alongside fellow actor and “Veep” star Tony Hale, Ralph was informed by Television Academy chair Cris Abrego that she had received a nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.

Ralph, who’s been nominated twice before in the category, was overjoyed. The actress triumphantly waved her fist and gave a quick victory dance to celebrate the nod. She also received a congratulatory fist bump from Abrego.

"Oh yes!" Ralph said. "Honey, that never gets old! Never gets old!"

“Abbott Elementary” also received some Emmys love with a nomination for outstanding comedy series.
